Pear Fruit

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go bear fruit−fruit that will last.” John 15:16a, NIV

Thank You for reminding us that we can do nothing apart from You, Lord (John 15:5).

Give us the desire to acknowledge Your presence and dig into the treasure of Your Word daily.

As we come to know You more intimately, help us bend to Your pruning and trust You to grow the seeds You have called us to plant and water.

Bless us with the wisdom and courage we need to serve in faithfulness and endurance, even when we don’t see the results we expect.

Lord, please help us remember our job is obedience in love for Your glory alone.

Your Word says: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10).

Encourage our hearts as we hone our craft in excellence, Lord. Guide our steps and our words and help us make spending time with You a top priority in our lives.

Inject us with Your peace and joy and help us embrace our writer’s journey as an opportunity to see You more clearly and serve You with the gifts You’ve given us.

Thank You, Lord, for this writing community that challenges us to grow as writers and as Your devoted children. Please help every member realize they make a difference and are valuable to this body of believers.

Please, Lord, continue to work through us to equip and encourage writers to inspire the world.

We are wholeheartedly Yours, Lord. Do what You will.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
