When You’re Holding My Hand, Lord: A Prayer of Perseverance
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about the Lord’s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:58, NLT
Thank You, Lord, for reminding us You are Almighty Creator, our sovereign and loving Good Shepherd, Provider and Merciful Father.
When we are weary, discouraged, impatient or afraid, help us remember that You hold our hand and cast Your light on the path You’ve chosen for us.
You are our strength as we persevere. You infuse our hearts with peace as we surrender to You in every aspect of our lives.
Let trust radiate through our obedience to Your Word as we walk in courage and endurance, Lord.
Thank You for the opportunities You give us to serve You through the relationships You’ve blessed us with. Empower us to love in Your name, to forgive by Your grace, to serve with hearts bent to Your will, to proclaim Your wonderful works through every word we speak and write.
Help us remember that there are no wasted moments, no useless tasks when we’re following Your lead.
We can do nothing apart from You, Lord (John 15:5). But, praise the Lord, there is nothing that is impossible with You (Luke 1:37). Hallelujah!
Please align our hearts and wills with Yours as we worship You with every word we write.
We love You and praise You, Father.
In Jesus’ name, Amen
