Rev. Dr. Betsy Schwarzentraub is a consultant in stewardship and generosity, author of two nonfiction books and contributing author in thirteen more.

Afire With God: Becoming Spirited Stewards describes stewardship as whatever we do with what God has entrusted to us, from our passions, time and abilities to our relationships, money, and lives. The book offers biblically-grounded, year-round practices for pastors and local church leaders.

Stewardship: Nurturing Generous Living is the official United Methodist Guidelines stewardship book for 2013 through 2016. It describes factors for growing vibrant, faithful stewards, and essentials for building a congregational culture of generosity.

With more than 1,000 published articles, Betsy was a Religion Editor for a secular newspaper and currently is working on a book called Growing a Generous Soul. She retired in 2011 after 36 years of pastoring and ministry beyond the local church, and now lives in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
