Danah Jewett

Danah Jewett

Danah Jewett is a woman who has met unfathomable tragedy. In 2008 her oldest son, Dylan at the age of 5, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Twenty four hours later her youngest, Judah, (16weeks gestation) was diagnosed with ancephaly. Dylan fought his cancer for two months and was called home to be with Jesus. Judah was born April 24, 2009 and passed away 26 hours later, proving that the gift of life, no matter how shot was indeed a gift from God and to be treasured.

Danah’s grief process has led her to writing. She began writing on her sons caringbridge site, www.caringbriege.org/visitdylanjewett, while he was sick. Her writing goal has been to honestly tell her story and to honor and glorify God throughout this undesired journey, but God honoring journey.

God has given her a unique story and testimony. She will not waste the opportunities God has given her to tell Dylan’s story and to fight childhood cancer until a cure is found.

Danah husband, John, has been in the Air Force for 12 years. They have a 3 year old son, Jayden.

In addition to writing, Danah finds joy in photography, church activities, working with children, public speaking, and is becoming active in the fight against childhood cancer.
