Penelope Childers is retired from her career with the Internal Revenue Service. She spent five of the last eight years working on the Chapel of Grace project to benefit inmates at Valley State Prison for Women in Chowchilla, California. Her writing journey began with her story and the stories of the women she met.  Penelope and her husband live in Fresno California. She is the mother of Megan and grandmother of Mateo and Anna.
